Rad place to work

My immediate supervisor was extremely knowledgeable and set me up for a successful career.

Great place to work

Welcoming environment and friendly atmosphere. Room for growth. Supportive of continuing education.

Better pay elsewhere

If you want to be paid fairly as a nurse then Christus is not the place to be. They low ball their nurses then pay a fortune to travelers. If they would invest in their own employees they would be able to retain them more. Christus needs to increase their pay to match other healthcare systems especially during a pandemic.

Medical Group upper management does not care about job overload

Too many changes in upper management, about every 18 months. Directors don’t care and continue to load on work to everyone below them. Poor work culture, lots of clicks and unprofessional management. HR is a nightmare.

Productive

Typical of any healthy system. Christus has its up and downs just like any other employer. The schedule is flexible and the management is understanding. It’s a stressful environment meeting quality control quotas. The pay is nice and benefits are good.

Great learning experiences in a grant program

I enjoyed my time at CHRISTUS and would return if I could. I began here as an intern and left here as an employee. My director was great to work with.

Great supervisors and support from director

My experience has been great. I had an amazing group of coworkers (CM and SW). all very supportive, helpful, and resourceful. Pay was decent, but not enough for the work we do. Short staffed, but the supervisors and director are extremely supportive and have your back through whatever. The hospital setting is just a tough one to be at this time.

Enjoyed the people I worked with

Great pay and benefits. Fairness to each employee. Patients well taken care of. Has many opportunities to move up. Easy transfer to different areas in the system

Great location but not willing to work with schedules

It's fine. If you're looking for fine it is that. Management is nice. They will let you travel to train sometimes. I was thrown into work after a half day of training because of how short staffed they were. It lead to errors.
