A Primary Care Physician ( PCP) plays a critical role in the healthcare of you and your family, and is the first contact for many patients at Cape Cod Healthcare. Our expert primary care physicians are well-trained, skilled and experienced, providing coordinated care and treatment that is backed by the full resources and technology of the Cape Cod Healthcare system.
PCCC opened a lab on site in 2020! We can draw blood and run most lab tests right in the office. Our current in-house lab can test: CBC, Basic and Comprehensive Metabolic Panels, Diabetic blood and urine tests, tests for Urinalysis, Cholesterol/Lipid panels, Thyroid panels, Prostate tests, Rapid Influenza Tests, Rapid Strep Tests, INR/Coumadin testing, and a Congestive Heart Failure lab (BNP). We are also performing rapid COVID-19 Antigen tests on site. Most tests will be resulted same day, many tests within an hour (or quicker!). We can send all results to any specialists, and the cost of our labs is much less than most other local labs. We can also draw blood to send other tests to Quest, or CLAB, if needed. We recommend you book a lab appointment prior to your Annual Physical Exam - anywhere from a few hours to a few days prior will work! YOU CAN NOW BOOK LAB VISITS THROUGH THE PATIENT PORTAL! We offer different models of primary care through the Medical Affiliates of Cape Cod (MACC), a division of primary and specialty care physicians from Cape Cod Healthcare, from group practices to solo practitioners. Your care team is led by your PCP and may include highly skilled physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and support staff who coordinate optimal patient care, including referrals to the appropriate medical specialists, when necessary.

Since our founding in 1952, our caring staff has offered excellent medical services and therapeutic programs in a warm, intimate setting. We’ve made a few changes over the years, but our philosophy remains the same. At Bickford, we believe our dedication and commitment to providing quality care assures every resident receives prompt and attentive care.
Medical billing is very complicated. We send CPT codes, based on the services we provided to you, to your billing company. Your insurance company then decides how much they will pay PCCC, and what balance is left to you. We understand that the out of pocket costs of medical care are being transferred more and more to the patient. The cost of operating our practice is very high, and we appreciate your support. Copays should be paid at the time of your visit (cash, checks and major credit cards accepted). If you are unable to pay your entire balance at once, please contact the office to discuss a payment plan.

The Cape SHINE Patient Portal is an easy to use on-line web-based tool that helps you manage information about the care you received at NJSHINE member hospitals. This includes Cape Regional Medical Center, Shore Medical Center and the Inspira Health Network. This information includes medical problem lists, allergies, medications and applicable test results (laboratory, radiology and others).
