You will find Health services in the Hoogenboom Health and Recreation Center. Our main entrance is on the west side of the Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Mon-Fri) during the school year. To make an appointment, please call 616-526-6187. Most appointments can be made within 1-3 days, as needed.

A physical examination is not required, however if you plan to participate in varsity athletics, please contact the Kinesiology department for guidelines and requirements for sports physicals. International students are required to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan in order to meet the university’s minimum insurance standard. Do not purchase other travel insurance or other emergency-only plans. They are not considered comparable, and do not meet Calvin University’s minimum insurance guidelines.
