The falls was located on "Mr. Fred Rogers" Grandfather ( Mr. M cFeeley) farm...it's NOT WALKER OR WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY. It's little bit of a walk to the falls but it's worth it....once your their...you have to walk down a steep path...once at the bottom, you can see a cement swimming pool that Mr. McFeeley made...it's falling apart and grown over with brush. Google Buttermilk Falls before you go ..
The Buttermilk Falls Trail at the Buttermilk Falls Natural Area in New Florence, PA, is an easy 0.4 mile loop hike that brings you down to the falls. Buttermilk Falls is the tallest waterfall in western PA at 46 feet tall.
The walkways at the falls are safe and secure.
So worth walking to. You can now go behind the Falls as well. Everything has just newly been put in by the Indiana County Park.
This was our first visit to Buttermilk Falls since the renovations last summer, and the renovations are quite impressive. You can now easily walk to the bottom of the falls and even walk behind/under the falls. It makes it a more impressive and peaceful experience. Getting past the viewing platform is not part of the ADA access area. Make sure to come after rainfall as it is much more impressive.

More. Buttermilk Falls is a 1.4 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Bridgewater Township, New Jersey that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Length 1.4 miElevation gain 232 ftRoute type Loop.
Buttermilk Falls, at over 80 feet, is one of the highest waterfalls in New Jersey. In the past, you could drive right to the waterfall, but Mountain Road is currently closed and the parking area and trail are under construction. To visit when Mountain Road is closed (normally closed in winter), park near the Walpack Cemetery and hike about 2 miles down gated Mountain Road. Although a little long, its an easy hike on a gravel road. The waterfall is beautiful but try to visit after a heavy rain so it will look its best. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
The Owl Creek Trail is located in an isolated section of Buttermilk Falls State Park. It is a 0.9-mile hike one way from the lower park to Stone Quarry Road. Along the way, you will pass through different types of forests as well as a scenic overlook.
This waterfall is beautiful. Finding it was easy once we got correct directions. Take 615 to Wallpac Center. Turn on Main Street. Continue past the one way bridge and cemenary . Mountain road was blocked off due to off season. So we parked and walked the chipped road 2 miles. It is right there off the road. There are stairs and wooden platforms to go to the top. We chose not to do that because of the Raina nd snow. The view from the bottom was enough to enjoy. It was worth the travel.
No need to hike to see the falls
Also, there is virtually NO SIGNAGE, and your GPS may not work! Yes, the falls are gorgeous, but NOT worth going through this. You're better off crossing the Delaware and going to Dingmans Falls, Raymondskill Falls and/or Bushkill Falls. Read more.

Buttermilk Falls is featured in the guidebook Waterfalls of Pennsylvania as well- one of over 180 in the state!
One of the neat things about Buttermilk Falls is that you can also easily make your way around to the back of the falls for a unique vantage point to see the water literally streaming just past your face. Be careful when visiting this one in the late fall or winter (like when we visited) as the water can be quite cold!
Since the parking lot is small, we had to park at the church further up the road to access the falls. Actually the trail down to the falls is extremely hazardous. No railings, poison ivy near the trail as well. It was so bad that I only went part way down and stopped. It isn't worth the chance of an accidental fall. Perhaps from down below the pathway or trail is better maintained.

So while this one is on the more accessible end of the spectrum it is not fully accessible for wheelchairs and those needing guide rails the whole way. (This also holds true for the much shorter access point from the church as mentioned above.)
