Many women suffer from pelvic floor dysfunction, vaginal laxity, incontinence, vaginal dryness or sexual dysfunction as a result of aging, pregnancy or change in hormone production. Many of these symptoms are quite common and tend to worsen over time. Some of the conditions include:
A camera is placed through a small incision in the abdominal wall and small instruments are used to operate on ovarian cysts, ec topic pregnancies, fallopian tubes , adhesions or endometriosis lesions. This approach allows the patient a shorter recovery and shorter stay in the hospital, often going home the same day.
Many women have heavy or irregular periods. There are many treatment options: Endometrial ablation is a quick in-office treatment for heavy bleeding. It is an alternative to hysterectomy for many women who would wish to avoid major surgery.
If a patient needs a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus,) very often this can be done laparoscopically. A camera is placed through a small incision in the abdominal wall and small instruments are used to separate the uterus, with or without removal of the tubes and ovaries.
Not all abnormalities require treatment. If you have been diagnosed with an abnormal Pap smear, your doctor may perform a colposcopy.
Our mission is to provide the highest quality obstetrical and gynecological care available in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
