very busy. Management does not communicate. Whole organization is focused on saving money. Old equipment. Cram patients in, minimal breaks.. every day is like a marathon. Very physical and tiring. No one ever seems to be in a good mood.
Low pay, management favoritism, good benefits, good work environment if you keep to yourself, excellent job performance is required of you at all times.
I worked here last summer and it was not a good experience. I literally hated going to work everyday. They do not want to train you, they’d rather have a scapegoat to blame everything on. Overall the staff just aren’t nice. They make you feel very uncomfortable when you are new. Also there are NO people of color that work there.
I’ve enjoyed my time working at Boston IVF. Fertility is a nice niche to be involved in. Wish there were more full time opportunities for techs ( most are per diem and part time without benefits). The hourly pay is excellent here.
BIVF is an ok company to work for if you never want to make any advances in your career. Management is impossible to contact. IT is misogynistic.
They fire people if you don’t conform to their needs. Everyone had to work weekends except one tech. I made a dollar more than the SPD lady. Horrible PAY
When I got hired it was a new position and i was excited to work in the finance department. After i was told by my recruiter that I would ly have to work a few weekends after working a full week o was ok with that. When I started I was also told that of i had a previous obligations that my manager was very flexible.
Describe the protocols David Ryley used in your cycles at Boston IVF and their degree of success. Antagonist protocol (I responded poorly), 2 micro-flare protocols (I responded better), and two A/ACP with estrogen priming protocols (I produced many more eggs).
All of the ultrasounds are recorded on video and it allows the doctors to see what the ultrasound tech sees in real time, significantly better than printed out screen-grabs, or handwritten data. Also be aware that if the odds of IVF working is 25%, that means that 75% of the IVF cycles are failing.
Boston IVF literally has video cameras in the embryology lab to watch each embryo so they don't have to disrupt them by handling the petri-dishes - that's amazing. They also gave us a photo of our 7-cell embryo, and did a mock transfer before the real transfer.
Prior to the procedure husbands sperm was extracted and delivered to Boston IVF by husband and wife for storage until the procedure. When at Boston IVF the sperm was handed over to a Boston IVF employee during which time husband and wife acknowledged the disregard to the sperm after the one procedure.
