Started in August 1991, Barnes– Kasson EMS has been serving Susquehanna County and Northern Wayne County for 30 years. A number of different types of ambulances have traveled our rural roads over the years.

When did Barnes-Kasson Dental open?

The department feature this quarter is the Barnes-Kasson Dental Unit. The Dental Unit opened its doors in 1978 thanks to the help of Dr. Russell Swetter. Both Dr. Swetter and Dental Hygienist, Linda Bedford have been practicing at Barnes since 1978. Dr. Charles Brown joined the Dental Unit in October of 2001.

Medical Records

If you would like paper copies or a CD of your full Medical Records, please fill out the Authorization form below, print, and bring it to our Medical Records department. The Authorization form may be faxed but needs to be accompanied by a photo id and signature match, such as a driver's license.

Language Assistance

We realize that the clear exchange of information between patient and provider is essential to providing quality care. We provide all of our patients with qualified interpreters for languages other than English and for American Sign Language (ASL).

Do insurances require patients to be seen by participating providers?

Patients are encouraged to be aware of their insurance policies guidelines. Some insurances require that patients be seen by "In Network" or "Participating Providers". Also some testing may require "Precertification".

To better serve this rural area, Barnes-Kasson has also established four well-staffed Health Clinics throughout Susquehanna County, a 58 bed Post Acute Care Facility, 24 Hour Emergency Care, and a Dental Office.
