Congratulations to Dr. Cameron Gillespie, MD (Ear, Nose and Throat) on his recent graduation from Regent University School of Law with a Master of Arts in Healthcare Law.

Our case manager provides assistance with: 1 Establishing home health services 2 Facilitating the transition from acute care to the Alleghany Health swing bed program 3 Facilitating placement in alternative levels of care 4 Coordinating and scheduling needed therapies 5 Completing discharge planning 6 Ordering or procuring necessary durable medical equipment for home use 7 Utilizing our respite program.
Patient Financial Services strives to provide quality assistance for patients and their families. Whenever you receive a bill from us, it covers the services you received at one of our healthcare facilities. As a courtesy to our patients, we will bill your insurance company, Medicare, or Medicaid on your behalf. We will do our best to obtain payment. You may also receive separate bills from your personal physician, surgeon, pathologist, radiologist, or other healthcare professional. Questions about any of these bills should be directed to the number printed on the statement you receive.
If you do not have insurance: No one will be denied necessary medical care due to lack of insurance or inability to pay. You may, however, be asked to pay a deposit when you are admitted or when you register for an outpatient procedure.
The Emergency Department (ED) at Alleghany Health is here for your emergency medical needs 24/7/365. Our board-certified physicians and skilled nursing staff provide a comprehensive assessment of your illness or injury while determining the level of care and treatment that you need.
With digital mammography, the radiologist can capture and manipulate the images so abnormalities can be easily seen. Screening mammograms are performed by a registered mammography technologist. Our mammography program is fully accredited by the ACR and the FDA.
Alleghany Health has two sleep study rooms equipped with regular beds and bedroom-like features.
An ultrasound is a tool that uses sound waves to create pictures of structures within the body, including organs and fetuses. Moving images can be viewed on a video screen, while still images can be captured for later viewing. Our ultrasound services are performed by registered sonographers and include abdominal and pelvic, vascular, and cardiac ultrasounds.
A CT scan, or CAT scan, allows the doctor to see inside your body for a better view of your organs, bones, or blood vessels. The CT scanner gathers a series of images of the body from different angles.
A bone density test uses X-rays to measure how many grams of calcium and other bone minerals are packed into a segment of bone. The bones that are most commonly tested are in the spine, hip and sometimes the forearm. Doctors use bone density testing to: Identify decreases in bone density before you break a bone.
The most familiar use of x-rays is checking for broken bones, but x-rays are also used in other ways. For example, chest x-rays can spot pneumonia. Mammograms use x-rays to look for breast cancer. Radiation safety is top priority at our facility and lead shielding is available when you have an x-ray.
