What is the Acessa procedure?

The Acessa procedure is a minimally invasive, treatment for fibroids of all types and sizes within the uterine wall. It uses radio frequency ablation to destroy each fibroid. The surrounding normal tissue is not affected.

When should I have my first well woman visit?

You may just talk with your doctor and undergo a regular physical exam which your doctor or nurse will check your height, weight and blood pressure.

If you have a benign (non-cancerous) condition that affects your health and quality of life , you may be referred to surgical intervention via Hysterectomy. It can be done with open surgery through one large incision into the upper cervical region. It can also be done with minimally invasive surgery through a few small incisions using traditional laparoscopy or da Vinci Surgery.
