What is Adams Medical Group?

Adams Medical Group Behavioral Health offers a range of mental health and addiction services to the community in the form of individual, family, and couples from age 5 years and older. Our team consists of licensed masters-level providers, a case manager, front desk staff, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and a registered nurse. We offer therapy by licensed therapists, crisis intervention, referral information, and medication services.#N#Behavioral Health works with individuals within their specific situation. A few benefits of engaging in services include enhancing an individual's ability to cope with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, life changes, stress, managing illness, and in making productive life choices. The individual and their provider will choose the frequency of appointments together to ensure their needs are met. Convenient hours allow freedom and flexibility to meet difficult schedules. Therapy sessions are approximately 45 minutes in length.#N#We work closely and provide treatment within different programs in the community such as school systems and criminal justice settings. We are also involved in ancillary services that impact mental health as well, such as the Diabetes Support Group and Education Team as well as the Alzheimer's support group. We have led grief support groups to the community when desired by the community. We are passionate about helping the community where it is needed and look for opportunities to help make a difference.

Who is Alli from Adams Memorial Hospital?

Alli worked as a child and adolescent case manager for a year before joining Adams Memorial Hospital in 2018. Alli, a case manager, who can help provide assessments. Alli finds joy in helping and advocating for others.

Who is Steven Schneider?

Dr. Steven Schneider, MD is a Psychiatry Specialist in Fort Wayne, IN and has over 43 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Schneider oversees the Adams Medical Group Behavioral Health Program. He graduated from University of Nebraska / College of Medicine medical school in 1977.

What is Chelsi's degree?

Chelsi received her B.S. Degree in Psychology with concentration on Applied Behavioral Analysis from Kaplan University. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work through Indiana Wesleyan University. She began her career in community mental health where she provided services to children, adults, and families, to navigate life's challenges. Chelsi began her journey at Adams Memorial as a master's level intern on the inpatient unit before becoming employed as the case manager of Outpatient Behavioral Health. Chelsi provides individual and family counseling to work on issues including depression, anxiety, family conflict, intimate relationship problems, grief/loss, substance use disorders, and parenting. Chelsi also works with individuals who are diagnosed with intellectual disabilities, utilizing her ABA skills developed while in undergrad. Chelsi provides therapeutic services offsite for incarcerated individuals at the Adams County Detention Center and for students in the North Adams Community School district. She is excited help others find the change that will lead to strength, hope, and happiness in their lives.

Adams Medical Group Behavioral Health accepts physician referrals, though they are not required. By calling or scheduling a consultation, we can begin to assess your needs and identify the best ways to help reclaim your life.

Who is Beth Kaskel?

Beth Kaskel is a Board Certified Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice). Beth has over 25 years of experience in psychiatric and mental health advance practice nursing. Beth attained her bachelor's degree from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, and her Master's and Doctoral degrees from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in gerontological nursing studying caregiver stress/ strain. Her focus is on patient-centered care. She is willing to help all departments through assessment and consultation to promote mental health well-being. For Behavioral Health she will be providing medication management for ages 12 and over.
