The CDC recommends patients with compromised immunity who have received two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine receive a third dose at least 28 days after your second dose. The University of Michigan announced on July 30 it is requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for all U-M students, faculty and staff, including Michigan Medicine, by the start of the fall term on August 30.
Who: Anyone with a Michigan Medicine medical record number (MRN). If you are not an established Michigan Medicine patient, please call 734-936-4990 to set up an MRN before calling to schedule your appointment.
Who: Michigan Medicine can give a vaccine to someone eligible for their second or third dose, even if the individual did not receive their first dose from Michigan Medicine. Proof of prior COVID-19 vaccination must be provided.
Who: The FDA has expanded emergency use authorization for individuals as young as 12 years old to receive the Pfizer vaccine.
