What is patient portal?

May 07, 2018 · First-time patients will require a temporary key in order to access their portal. Temporary keys can be found on your most recent receipt or by emailing portal@lvcenter4sight.com. Step 1: Please select First Time Patient Portal Access in order to set-up your secure portal. Step 2: After clicking continue, you will be asked for your temporary key.

Who is Rachel Roman?

Dr. Rachel Roman is a bilingual in English and Spanish, board-certified optometrist at Shore Eye Associates, providing comprehensive eye care in our Toms River and Whiting offices. She specializes in routine eye exams, contact lens exams, myopia control and the treatment and management of ocular disease. Dr. Roman received her bachelor’s degree in biology at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She then moved to Worchester, Massachusetts to pursue her doctorate of optometry at the esteemed Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She graduated optometry school with honors and at the top of her class. Dr. Roman went on to further her training in ocular disease with a clinical residency at the veteran’s hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire. Dr. Roman is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Optometric Association, the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, and the American Academy of Optometry. She is board-certified in therapeutics, treatment, and management of ocular diseases. Dr. Roman is known for the attentive and gentle manner she provides eye care to all her patients. Along with comprehensive eye care, she also has a keen interest in the treatment of myopia in children. Also known as nearsightedness, myopia has increasingly become a growing global epidemic. Dr. Roman is proud to offer specialized treatments in this evolving aspect of eye care. Dr. Roman was raised in Jackson, NJ and currently calls Toms River her home. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking, practicing yoga and of course the Jersey Shore!

Is cataract surgery one size fits all?

Cataract surgery is no longer one size fits all. Every one of my cataract surgery patients get individualized attention and recommendations for which surgery and implant would be best for them. Normandy Beach is currently where I call home along with my wife Kathleen and our three children Alexa, Grace and Eric.
