How are telephone and telehealth visits conducted?

Telephone visits are conducted over the telephone. Telehealth visits are offered through Doxy.me (available on Apple and Android devices).

I have an appointment scheduled. Can I do a telephone or telehealth appointment instead of coming into the office?

If you’re scheduled for an office visit, your provider may determine that you can be treated over the phone or via a virtual appointment instead of an in-person visit. You’ll be contacted prior to any scheduled appointment to obtain your consent for a remote visit and you’ll be reminded of your scheduled appointment time.

If my provider or I think an in-person, telephone, or telehealth visit is not needed, can I just communicate with my provider through MyCovenantHealth?

Yes. Your provider will be available through secure messaging on MyCovenantHealth. If you aren’t already enrolled, call your provider’s office or visit CovenantHealth.com/MyCovenantHealth.

How will I be charged for a telehealth visit?

We’ll send charges incurred for your telephone, telehealth (Doxy.me), or patient portal communications (messaging that exceed 5 minutes) to your healthcare insurance company or directly to you if you’re a self-pay patient.

I am a Grace Clinic patient with an existing MyChart account. Do I have to sign up again?

Good news, since you’ve already signed for MyChart with Grace, you can continue to use your existing MyChart account to access your Covenant Health information too.

When can I start using all of the features online or in the app?

You can check in online for your next appointment up to four days before your visit. Other features will become available on March 5, 2022 including: appointment scheduling, messaging, test and lab results, prescription information, billing, and more.

What information will be available online or in the app?

Most of your medical history with Covenant Health will transfer to MyChart. Please note some information may not be fully available in your account until the end of the year.

Why are you making these changes?

These upgrades are part of our commitment to better serve you. Our new system will make it easier to access your medical records and get care when you need it.

Can I check in online before my appointment?

You’ll be able to use our new online check-in up to four days prior to your appointment, when convenient for you. To get check-in reminders, sign up for MyChart to review your profile and contact info.

What else does this mean for me?

Your appointment may take longer while we adjust to our new system, and you may need to sign documents again.

How will this affect my care?

You’ll continue to get world-class care at all our locations. This upgrade means your records will be in one place for all Covenant Health and Grace providers to view.
