How do I contact the Student Health Center?

Follow these simple steps. It's easy and secure! Login to your MyWesternHealth patient portal. Upload a legible picture of your fully completed COVID-19 Immunization Card. Enter the date (s) of your vaccination (s) including your initial booster dose. Please note: incomplete Immunization Cards will not be accepted.

Get Your COVID Vaccine Now!

Western Washington University (WWU) policy “Requiring Proof of COVID Vaccination Status” ( POL-U1300.02) requires all Western students, faculty, and staff to show proof of immunization with an FDA- or WHO-authorized COVID-19 vaccine before returning to campus for fall quarter 2021.

Already Have Your COVID Immunization Card?

What do I do if I lose my COVID-19 Vaccination Card?

There’s good news — most of your vaccine questions can be answered easily with the help of an online portal. Washington State offers an authorized service called MyIR Mobile which allows you to safely access your and your family’s immunization records online. It’s free, it’s official, and it’s secure.

I'll only have one COVID-19 shot of the series completed before I need to be on campus. What do I do?

Submit a COVID-19 Vaccine Waiver Request Form and certificate of completion of the COVID-19 Vaccine Education Canvas course. This will cover you until you get your second shot.

How do I obtain a COVID-19 Vaccine Exemption?

How do I submit my COVID-19 Vaccine Exemption?

The COVID-19 Vaccine Waiver Form and COVID Education Course documentation for students must be submitted for review and approval. Incomplete documents will not be accepted.

I am an Online Student Only with a COVID Vaccine Waiver. How can I be removed from the weekly COVID testing requirement?

Students who have completed a COVID-19 Vaccine Waiver Form and are enrolled in online classes ONLY are exempt from the weekly COVID testing requirements. This COVID Testing exemption is only available to students enrolled in 100 percent online courses who do not plan to participate in any in-person Western activities.

Authorization to Manually Bill the Health Services Fee (when fee wasn't automatically billed to your WWU student account)

If you are enrolled in one or more credits and weren't automatically billed the fee, you may elect to have it manually billed to your Student Account: Please call our front office at 360-650-3400 option 1 to ask to have the fee request form sent to you through your MyWesternHealth patient portal.

Request to WWU Student Health Center to Receive and Store Medication

We can assist you in receiving and storing medications that need to be shipped directly to a health care facility. If you have a medication that needs to be shipped directly to a health care facility, and you wish to have the medication shipped to the Student Health Center, you must complete a request form (link is below) .

Financial Hardship Waiver

If you are unable to pay the Health Services fee due to a financial hardship, you may request a waiver. Email your request to student.health@wwu.edu.

COVID-19 Testing Information

The rapid spread of the highly contagious Omicron variant and the lack of testing availability in our community have caused a dramatic increase in demand for COVID tests at the College Hall Testing Facility.

If I Have Symptoms

Western students who are experiencing mild COVID-like symptoms such as congestion/runny nose or sore throat can obtain a COVID-19 test at the College Hall COVID Testing Facility.

If I Am A Close Contact and Don't Have Symptoms

Any fully vaccinated student, who has had close contact with someone with COVID-19, should obtain a COVID test at the College Hall Testing Facility 5 days after the exposure. Click here for more details

Campus-Wide Surveillance Testing

Western’s Student Health Center will be performing weekly COVID-19 surveillance testing using rapid antigen tests for any student on an approved COVID Vaccine Waiver who also has a regular on-campus presence.

Results

You will get your results in a secure message from your MyWesternHealth patient portal. Results of antigen tests will be available in 2-4 hours. If a confirmatory PCR test is needed, these results will be back in 24-48 hours and will be available to you in your patient portal.

Costs

Surveillance testing is free to all eligible students with an on-campus presence regardless of insurance.

If You've Tested Positive Outside the Student Health Center

If you have received a lab-confirmed positive COVID-19 test from an outside provider/lab, please send us a secure message with your result attached in MyWesternHealth.
