What is a certified nurse midwife?

A certified nurse-midwife is a registered nurse with a graduate education in midwifery. She is certified and licensed as an independent provider to care for you throughout your lifetime. Midwifery care includes annual wellness exams, family planning, prenatal care, labor and birth through menopause.
