How do I sign up for a secure patient portal?

Westlake Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery’s patient portal allows you to enter or update your health history online. In order to complete the process you will need your Patient ID. This can be obtained at any of our offices from one of our Patient Coordinators. 1. Visit https://westlake.ema.md to access your patient portal account.

What is a CPT code?

CPTs are a complex and uniform code set that is used to report medical services you receive. Your physician schedules your surgery with the CPT codes expected to be performed. After services are rendered, the codes are reviewed again to ensure that they accurately reflect the services performed.

What is a DRG?

DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group):#N#This is the way some insurance companies categorize inpatient hospital stays in order to standardize a payment to the hospital. Generally, a DRG payment covers all charges associated with an inpatient stay. These are typically categorized by diagnosis, treatment received and length of stay.

What is deductible insurance?

Deductible: The amount you will pay for healthcare services before your health insurance begins to pay. Co-pay: A fixed amount established by your insurance for sharing the cost of your care. Coinsurance: Typically given as a percentage, this is portion of the healthcare that you are responsible for paying.

Register for myHuntHealth

To register for a myHuntHealth account, click the "Enroll Here" button on the top-right side of this page. When setting up your account, you will be prompted for your patient number which is located on your discharge paperwork (this number will start with a G). You may also find your G number by calling 903.408.5886.
