Hours

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday–Friday (except for holidays) Each provider’s office hours may vary slightly from these times. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your first appointment to complete the necessary paperwork. Remember to bring your insurance cards to every visit.

Appointments

Patients are seen by appointment ONLY. Walk-in patients may be seen if an appointment is available. If no appointment is available, you have the option of going to one of our Rx Urgent Care locations. If you have an URGENT problem, call the appointment line.

In-office Services

We offer a full range of in-house ancillary services which we think you will find convenient.

Hospitalization

Hospitalists (physicians employed by the hospital) provide in-patient care for our patients. Our gastroenterology specialists do hospital consultations for our patients.

Phone Calls

Voice mail messages are returned as promptly as possible. Please try to leave messages early in the day whenever possible. When calling, leave your full name including the spelling of your last name, your date of birth, and the phone number where you can be reached.

Referrals

We are happy to make referrals when there is a problem outside our area of expertise. Please be aware that some insurance companies and specialists require an evaluation by your primary care physician prior to referral to specialists.

Test Results

The nature and complexity of the results will determine how they will be reported to you. Possibilities include: office visit, mail, e-mail, or telephone call.

You can sign up now using a third-party secure system to verify your identity.

By Mail

You can fill out an online form to request an activation code in the mail. This can take 5-7 business days.

With Activation Code

You can use the activation code provided on your After Visit Summary (AVS) or billing statement.

In Person

If you want to sign up in person at any of our clinics, simply ask our staff to help you while you're there.

What is Wake Gastroenterology?

Wake Gastroenterology is a full-service Diagnostic Center treating patients in the Triangle and surrounding areas. In addition to basic laboratory and X-ray services, we provide sophisticated endoscopic testing, in-office imaging services, and innovative treatments. Nearly all of our evaluation and treatments are provided in an outpatient setting with easy scheduling, and emphasis on patient comfort.

Do sedatives wear off after gastroenterology?

After gastroenterology procedures, sedatives can take a while to wear off. Gastroenterologists recommend that patients get driven home and avoid operating machinery or a vehicle for a period of time after the visit.
