Who is Virginia Allergy and pulmonary associates?

You may pay in office, mail, or use our HIPPA compliant patient portal at www.vaaac.com. Please do not use FSA/HAS cards to pay non-medical fees. You will not be reimbursed. There is a $25 fee for returned checks. There is a $35 fee if you miss your scheduled appointment without notice or if you cancel with less than 48 hours notice.

Patient Fusion is a free, web-based online portal which allows patients to check their health records, view their appointments, and communicate via messaging with Dr. Wasan. Take the next step to enroll with Patient Fusion and manage your health! All you need is an email address to create an account, and our staff will give you a temporary PIN number to get you started. If you do not have an email address, we can create one for you. Inquire about getting started with Patient Fusion and our staff will be more than happy to assist you!

How often do you have to have skin testing for immunotherapy?

In order to stay on your course of immunotherapy treatment, you are required to have allergy skin testing every 3 years. This is to show the insurance company that you are still allergic so they continue to pay.

Is allergy testing covered by insurance?

Allergy and Asthma testing, treatment and immunotherapy are unique services and may not be covered by your health plan. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with your benefit plan and be prepared to pay for non-covered services, co-pays, deductibles and/or coinsurance.
