MyChart is a free online patient portal that UW Medicine offers patients. With MyChart, you can easily access your medical records, appointment scheduling, billing and payment information, prescription refills and more — all in one secure location.

MyChart offers many features to help you manage your care. The chart below shows all the features that existed before March, and the helpful new features we’ve added.

Can I add a record of my COVID-19 vaccine to MyChart if I received it outside the UW Medicine system?

Yes. You may do this by sending a photo of your vaccine card to your provider through MyChart or by bringing your vaccine card to your next appointment with a UW Medicine provider. If you received your vaccination through UW Medicine, there is no need to do anything as a record of your vaccination will be added automatically to our system.

How long does it take to renew a prescription?

However, if you request a prescription renewal through MyChart, every attempt will be made to process the prescription renewal within 48 hours of receipt during normal business hours. If you submit your request on a weekend of holiday, it will be received and processed beginning the next business day.
