You must be 18 years of age or older to request activation of a UVa MyChart account.
We afford the same degree of confidentiality to medical information stored in UVa MyChart as is given to any medical information stored by UVa Health System. We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of your medical information. We limit UVa Health System employees’ access and ability to enter or view information based upon their job duties. Firewalls, passwords, encryption, and audit trails are used to safeguard your information. We have taken steps to keep all information received electronically as secure as possible against unauthorized access and use.
In some cases, the physician or clinic staff member may not be available immediately, so you should allow at least three (3) days for a response. Emergency matters requiring immediate response cannot be submitted electronically. Also, there may be times when UVA MyChart is not available.
