Understanding hospital pricing

Based on regulations from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), we publish a complete list of standard charges. Because your cost is based on your insurance plans and other relevant financial factors, these standard charges may not be reflective of what you will pay for your health care.

New hospital visitor screenings and restrictions

To protect the health of our patients and their families, we are limiting the number of public entrances to our hospital. Additionally, patients and visitors entering the hospital will be screened for symptoms of the flu and COVID-19. These include: fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

Visiting a Patient

In support of each patient’s rights, UI Hospitals & Clinics allows patients to receive visitors designated by the patient. We promote and support patient and family-centered care and recognize the importance of contact with family members and friends for the mental and physical well-being of patients.
