Wellness checkups and physicals. Care for acute injuries or illnesses. Short term individual or group counseling.
Use the Patient Portal to access, view and print your immunization records. After you log in, click the “Immunizations” tab to see your history and view any missing immunizations, which have caused a hold on your academic registration. Students may use the Student Health Centers in Dahlonega or Gainesville, rather than an urgent care, primary care, or emergency facility, but they should schedule an appointment ahead of time.
Student Health Services aims to provide basic health care services and teach prevention and self-help skills to students.
All currently enrolled University of North Georgia (UNG) students who pay the student health fee are eligible for care at Student Health Services.
Office visits for Student Health are currently scheduled by appointment only. We request that you please give our office at least 24-hour notice in the event that you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Patients arriving 10 minutes past their scheduled appointment time will be asked to reschedule.
Students should have a copy of his or her insurance card with them. An available copy of your insurance card can be attached to your medical history form for information only. The clinic does not provide billing for insurance. The clinic does not treat auto-accidents or workman's compensation due to insurance requirements.
In the event you suffer an illness or injury that requires you to miss class, student health will provide you with discharge paperwork that provides specific discharge instructions regarding absence and return to class. We do not fill out disability paperwork or paperwork for employment.
Parking is available at the University Health Center for UGA students, faculty, and staff participating in surveillance testing. Please park in the areas designated as patient parking.
COVID-19 Surveillance Testing Site is located at University Health Center which is located at the intersection of East Campus and College Station Roads.#N#The UHC parking lot is accessible from Carlton Street, the loop road that goes around the Ramsey Center.
Starting Wednesday, Sept. 1, any current student, faculty or staff member who has been fully vaccinated (two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one of Johnson & Johnson)—whether at the University Health Center or elsewhere—can submit their names to be in the running to win a cash prize of $1,000. A total of 100 prizes will be awarded.
Free testing will continue to be offered to our faculty, staff and students throughout the summer at the University Health Center. Appointments can be booked via the Vet View scheduling process.
