University Medical Center is a Safe Haven site for babies. If you are unable to care for your baby and the baby's well-being is in danger, you can bring the newborn up to 60 days old to our hospital or any emergency designated facility or Safe Haven site.

University Medical Center participates in one or more shared electronic health records systems and other patient information "Shared Systems,” and may electronically share health information for treatment, payment or healthcare operations and other purposes permitted under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) with other participants of the Shared Systems. This allows a doctor whose patient is receiving services at other facilities that utilize the shared systems, efficient access to medical information necessary for the treatment of that patient.
Patient units are located in the three, color-coded Patient Towers. Tower 1 is Orange, Tower 2 is Green and Tower 3 is Purple.
