How do I get help with the patient portal?

After logging into the patient portal, you'll click the Visits button and select Appointments and Visits. Next to your appointment information, there will be a green eCheck-In button, taking you to the form. At the end of the form, you will electronically sign the document. After clicking the Submit button, your eCheck-In will be complete.

How to access the portal?

Accessing the portal is simple. All you need is an active email address* and an invitation, via email, to register for access to the portal. Once you receive the invitation in your email, follow the Internet link to a web page that will guide you in creating your account. It’s that easy!

What is the MyHealthEP portal?

MyHealthEP Patient Portal is University Medical Center of El Paso’s and El Paso Children’s Hospital’s Patient Portal. The patient portal allows you to access your healthcare record 24 hours-a-day, 7 days a week and anywhere via Internet access.

Where is the lab icon on the portal?

Once inside the portal your homepage is the central point to access information. Click on this icon located on the top left of the web page to view your health record, lab results and other medical information. The portal includes other useful links at the top and bottom of the pages.

How long does it take to enroll in UMC?

Enrollment takes less than five minutes. If you had a healthcare visit to UMC or El Paso Children's Hospital you should have received an invitation to enroll for the portal via email. If you did not receive an email, please visit the hospital's Registration Department for enrollment assistance.

What to do when you get to your appointment?

When you get to your appointment, please call the office to let them know you've arrived and office staff will share next steps.

What is eCheck-in in a doctor's waiting room?

You can use eCheck-In to: Update your address and other personal information.

Can a 12 year old have access to a clinical note?

(Guardians of children 12 or older have limited access to a child’s clinical information in accordance with patient privacy laws.)

To ensure a smooth and efficient registration process, please submit your New Patient Packet through IQ Patient Portal one week prior to your appointment. Text us your Full Name, DOB, and email address to (833) 635-0689 to get started if you do not yet have access to the IQ Patient Portal.

What is the phone number for the Patient Portal?

When to register for patient portal?

Students are encouraged to register for the patient portal as soon as possible. If possible, register before beginning of Fall semester.

How to get my MRN number?

Get your medical record number (MRN) and activation code by calling the Patient Portal Help Desk at 734-615-0872 (7:30 am - 4 pm). Then create your account at MyUofMHealth.org by clicking the blue "Sign Up Now" button.

Do you have to be registered in the UHS electronic health record?

For all others: You must be registered as a patient in the UHS electronic health record (MiChart) in order to create a portal account.

Can you cancel an appointment with an established provider?

Request an appointment, view and cancel appointments, or self- schedule with an established provider (a provider you have seen before in the same clinic, e.g. Medical Clinic or Gynecology and Sexual Health Clinic)
