For patients age 12 to 17, UK HealthCare requires that the minor patient grant the proxy access to Parent(s)/Legal Guardians(s). Except under special circumstances, e.g., a minor patient who lacks decisional capacity, UK HealthCare will automatically switch to standard proxy access to a minor’s MyChart when the patient turns 12 years old.
