Option 1 – During your next visit to UI Health

Our service desk will ask for your e-mail address and a one-time-use security question to start your account.

Option 2 – Self-enrollment from anywhere

If you have your Medical Record Number (MRN) or if we have your e-mail address on file, you can sign up for the portal remotely. Your MRN will be printed on your visit summary and discharge paperwork. You must be over age 18 to enroll.

For billing questions, please call 312.996.1000 or visit the account representatives available in the lobby of the Outpatient Care Center (OCC), 1801 W. Taylor, Chicago. Stop by Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-4:30PM and speak with a representative ready to answer your billing questions or to help you make a payment. How many beds does the University of Illinois have?

The University of Illinois Hospital & Clinics is the State of Illinois' only public general hospital, consisting of a 465-bed hospital; the Children's Hospital University of Illinois (CHUI) - which includes a 101-bed specialty pediatric hospital with a 55-bed NICU; and an Outpatient Care Center that houses 21 primary and specialty care clinics.

The MyChart patient portal offers a convenient and secure way to manage your healthcare online — anytime, anywhere. Use MyChart to request appointments, communicate with your care team, request prescription renewals, view test results, access medical records, pay bills and more.

How to get activation code for MyChart?

Use self sign-up to receive an activation code. Visit the MyChart sign-up login page and under the right-hand menu, select "Sign up now." Then, click on the button that says "Sign up online" under " No Activation Code?" Follow the steps on the next screens to complete the form and verify your identity. Patients under 18 require a parent or adult proxy to sign up.

How to enable two step verification on MyChart?

To enable two-step verification, log into MyChart and under "Menu," select "Security Settings." Then, click on the button that says, "Turn on two-step verification."
