You will use the Patient Portal to submit important forms, schedule symptomatic COVID-19 testing at UHS, securely communicate with our staff, and more. How to contact UMass nursing?

After hours, call 413-577-5229 for health advice from a nurse. For urgent, non-life-threatening situations that cannot wait for an appointment, you may proceed to UHS.

Is UHS open by appointment?

UHS serves UMass Amherst students, faculty and staff, along with their spouses, domestic partners and dependents. We are open by appointment only. Due to COVID-19, we no longer offer walk-in care. In-person and telehealth appointments are available, including same-day appointments. Face coverings are required while at UHS.

University Health Services staff are invited to participate in a series of virtual wellness-promoting sessions. All sessions are held on Wednesdays at 12:15pm.

Flu Shots (Required for MA Students) Available at UHS

Flu shots are now available at UHS for UMass students, faculty and staff. Appointments are available Mon-Fri; call 413-577-5101 to schedule. This year, flu vaccine is required for students in Massachusetts. The requirement applies to all full-time undergraduate and graduate students under 30 years of age.

COVID-19 Testing (Updated 9/1/2021): You can pick up a self-test kit inside the UHS Main Entrance vestibule (or other campus locations) and drop off your sample at the kiosk at the foot of our entrance ramp. Symptomatic or exposed to COVID-19? You can pick up a self-test kit, or make an appointment for testing at UHS.
