How do I get health insurance at UCLA?

The University of California requires that all students have health insurance. To fulfill this requirement, UCLA automatically enrolls all registered students in UC SHIP (UC Student Health Insurance Plan) at the start of a new academic year. Each academic term, the UC SHIP health fee is billed through BruinBill along with other UCLA fees.

The Ashe Center and extension services --including the COVID Hotline-- will be closed for the Thanksgiving university holiday. If you have COVID-19 symptoms such as fever and cough, receive a positive test result, or have had close contact with someone who tested positive please do the following: (1) Isolate yourself and stay at home; (2) Call The Ashe Center COVID-19 Hotline at (310) 206-6217 immediately.
