How do I sign up for the ubmd patient portal?

New to the UBMD Patient Portal? Getting started is as easy as 1-2-3! Contact your office and verify your email address. Our staff will give you a verification code Once you've signed up, you can access the portal 24/7 from your computer or "on the go" with your tablet or smartphone!

How do I get my medical records from UB?

If you you are a former UB student or cannot log in to PatientLink, please complete the Authorization to Release or Obtain Health Records form. Health and immunization records submitted to or generated by Health Services are held on file for 10 years.

Do all ubmdosm providers participate with all insurance companies?

Not all UBMDOSM providers participate with all insurance companies. Please verify whether the physician accepts your insurance coverage when scheduling an appointment. We bill non-participating insurance companies as a courtesy to you. This may require that payment is required before service.

Can you email patient link?

We strongly recommend that you use PatientLink (not email) for any confidential communication with health care providers at Health Services. Through PatientLink, you can view and print your immunization records and communicate securely with Health Services.

Do uploaded documents update?

Uploaded documents DO NOT immediately update or appear in your immunization record.

Is a message sent through the Patient Portal secure?

A message sent through the Patient Portal is more secure than email.

Is the Patient Portal open during business hours?

The Patient Portal is monitored during Health Center business hours only. Every effort is made to answer messages by the following business day. You should not expect to receive a response to a Patient Portal message on weekends, holidays, or any other time the Health Center is closed. If you need immediate medical advice when the Health Center is closed, call our main number (413-542-2267) and follow the prompts to speak with an advice nurse. If you need urgent medical care, please call Campus Police at 413-542-2111.

What is the patient portal?

The patient portal is an excellent resource for patients (and for our staff)! You can request prescription refills, send messages to the physician, update/change medical history, and request appointments. For more information, click HERE.

If you don’t know your physician’s direct phone number, call 716.204.3200 and you will be directed.

Does UBMDOSM work with insurance?

It is the patient’s responsibility to be aware of their insurance coverage, policy provisions and authorization requirements. Not all UBMDOSM providers participate with all insurance companies. Please verify whether the physician accepts your insurance coverage when scheduling an appointment. We bill non-participating insurance companies as a courtesy to you. This may require that payment is required before service. Any outstanding balances are the responsibility of the patient.

Do you need a referral for a primary care physician?

If you do need a referral, your primary care physician should be contacted. If your insurance provider requires a referral, it must be in acquired prior to scheduling your appointment.
