What hospitals are affiliated with UAMS Family Medical Center Texarkana?

UAMS Family Medical Center, Texarkana is affiliated with two local hospitals, CHRISTUS St. Michael Health Systems and Wadley Regional Medical Center. We are also connected to the Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education and the UAMS Medical Center and clinics.

How do I contact UAMS urgent care?

If you have an urgent care question, you may call (870) 779-6000 and our on call physician will return your call. Our clinic has transitioned to a new electronic medical records system through Epic. You will have a new patient portal called UAMS MyChart. It will keep all of your provider’s notes and test and lab results from all UAMS sites.

Getting Started

If you are an active patient, you can create a Patient Portal account. You will need a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to create your on-line account.

Requesting Your PIN

During your office visit, you can request Patient Portal Personal Identification Number (PIN) from the front desk or your nurse. You will be required to provide a valid photo ID.

Secure PIN Letter

This letter will include your unique and secure Personal Identification Number (PIN) and will guide you through your new account registration process. Your PIN will only be used one time during the Identification Verification process of creating your new account. When creating your new Portal account, please make note of your Username and Password.

E-mail Requirements

Each patient is required to have a unique email address to use the Patient Portal and Secure Messaging.

Secure Messaging

You will receive a notification e-mail in your e-mail Inbox. This notification e-mail will include a link to your Patient Portal Secure Message In-box. Follow the link, log on to the Patient Portal account and you will receive your confidential (private) message.

What is UAMS MyChart?

UAMS MyChart is a patient portal that gives you free, secure 24-hour online access to your health information. You can see your lab and test results, send messages to your doctor, make appointments, refill prescriptions and pay your bills. Ask your clinic staff or hospital nurse how to sign up for UAMS MyChart.

When will UAMS allow visitors?

Due to an increase in COVID-19 patients in Arkansas and across the country, UAMS is implementing new visiting policies for our hospital. Effective March 20, 2020, hospital visitors are allowed for patients only in exceptional cases such as end of life and mothers in labor.
