The Arkansas Research Alliance (ARA) on Tuesday launched the Core Facilities Exchange (CFE), which allows researchers across Arkansas to share resources and equipment. The CFE is a partnership with the six major research facilities in Arkansas, including the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

What to do if you have a fever and shortness of breath?

If you have fever, cough or shortness of breath, do not come to UAMS or any other doctor’s office, urgent care clinic or emergency room without first calling and getting instructions. If someone needs urgent medical care and could have been exposed to COVID-19, tell the operator when you call 911.

When will UAMS allow visitors?

Due to an increase in COVID-19 patients in Arkansas and across the country, UAMS is implementing new visiting policies for our hospital. Effective March 20, 2020, hospital visitors are allowed for patients only in exceptional cases such as end of life and mothers in labor.
