At Tufts Medical Center Primary Care Boston, our doctors, nurses and staff have one overriding mission, and that’s taking care of you. We are the main, adult primary care practice at Tufts Medical Center, a leading academic medical center in Boston.

Access to top specialists

Our practice also includes a number of specialists, including an endocrinologist, a gynecologist, a pharmacist and a social worker. Our PCPs work closely with a wide range of top specialists at Tufts Medical Center, and can make rapid referrals to colleagues just down the hall or in the building next door.

What is the phone number for PCP?

If you need help choosing a PCP or would like more information about a specific doctor, please call us at 888.257.1985 (TTY: 711), Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We're happy to help.

How to change your PCP?

You can also change your PCP through your member portal, our self-service tool. With your member portal, you can manage your health care 24/7 and do things like: 1 Order a new member ID card 2 Check if your PCP needs to get prior authorization (permission) for you to get a service 3 Check the status of a claim or an authorization

What is PCP in healthcare?

Your PCP is the provider you call first, unless it's an emergency. As the provider who coordinates your care, he or she gets to know you and your health needs so you get the best possible care at all times.
