Back to City Page. In 1903 Theda Clark Peters died a day after giving birth to her daughter. Before she died, she left $96,000 to her family to continue on her civic duties as a citizen. The family decided that a memorial hospital would be the best use for the money and commenced the erection of the Theda Clark Hospital.
