Appointments

Please arrive 20 minutes early if you are a new patient, or if you need to update your insurance information. We appreciate your promptness, as it helps keep our appointments on schedule. Please be aware we may need to reschedule you if you arrive more than 20 minutes late for your appointment.

Urgent Needs

TMP maintains a " Come Now " policy relating to non-emergency urgent patient needs. Call us at 615-459-7104 and let us know you are on the way. We will work you into our clinic with the first available provider!

Emergency Health Situations

If you develop symptoms such as severe chest pain, difficulty speaking, weakness in a limb, excessive bleeding, serious injury, or loss of consciousness - Call 911 immediately for an ambulance and have someone notify our office by calling 615-459-7104.

Amanda Cunningham, NP

Amanda Cunningham is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined Tennessee Medicine and Pediatrics in 2018. She earned her registered nursing degree from North Georgia College and State University in 2010 followed by her master’s degree from Belmont in 2017.

Felisa L. Gilbert, M.D., FAAP

Dr. Felisa Gilbert joined the practice in 2007. She is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the National and Tennessee Chapters of the American College of Physicians.

Heather N. Phillips, M.D

Dr. Phillips grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated summa cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in biology from Birmingham-Southern College and received her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingam.

Communication of Results

Routine lab results are provided within 10 days. Routine results are provided via the Patient Portal or leaving you a message in a secure voicemail system. If you prefer to receive your results in another manner, please make the lab personnel aware. If you do not receive your results within 10 days, please contact our office.

Prescription Medications

Please bring all current medications in their original containers to your scheduled visit. The information on the medication label is essential to helping your provider maintain and accurate medication list.

LABORATORY SERVICES

If you are instructed to fast, please do not eat or drink anything with calories in it for 12 hours prior to your blood test.
