The Stanford Children’s Health network is the only health care network in the Bay Area that’s exclusively dedicated to pediatric and obstetric care. At the center is our nationally ranked hospital, bringing world-renown Stanford expertise and innovation to families near and far. We provide care in more than 150 medical specialties, many of which are part of our centers of excellence including: brain & behavior, cancer, heart, pregnancy & newborn , pulmonary and transplant. We also provide an additional, wide range of services for babies, kids and pregnant moms.
If you would like to verify that your insurance is accepted at SHC prior to your appointment, please contact your insurance provider directly. If you have an HMO insurance plan, please obtain from your insurance provider, prior to your appointment, a written authorization to be seen at SHC. If your insurance benefits do not cover your visit, you will be asked to sign a Patient Acceptance of Financial Responsibility form upon arrival and submit payment upon receipt of your bill.
Appointments for minors (patients under the age of 18) are only available in Family Medicine and Sleep Medicine. To schedule an appointment for a minor with another department please visit Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.
We will verify that SHC accepts your insurance and collect any required authorizations. If we are unable to contact you before your appointment, please call the clinic directly to provide your demographic information. The clinic phone number will be included in your email appointment confirmation.

At Stanford Health Care – ValleyCare, our urologists care for adults with common to complex urologic problems. Our team treats urinary incontinence, kidney stones, hematuria (blood in urine), and sexual dysfunction in men. We also treat prostate disease, including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). And we diagnose, treat, and coordinate care for bladder, kidney, prostate, and testicular cancer.
