How many visitors can an inpatient have?

Inpatients may have two (2) unique visitors per day. They can come at the same time or one at a time. In addition, a clergy member may visit but must complete a visitor exception form. Family Birth Center patients may have two (2) designated visitors, one of whom can stay overnight.

Can you be in an emergency room during aerosol production?

Visitors are not allowed in the room during aerosol-producing procedures. In the Emergency Department, two (2) visitors are permitted once the patient reaches a room in the department. The visitor must remain in the room and wear a mask at all times (subject to safety and capacity limitations).

How to create a patient portal?

Step 1: You will receive an email invitation to create your patient portal account. Click on the link provided in the email to start the registration process. Step 2: Enter your Date of Birth, and then fill out the Username and Password fields. Email Address and Phone Number are optional.

When will a summary of care document be posted to the patient portal?

After each admission to the hospital a new summary of care document will post to your patient portal. You may access the document any time after you are discharged. Once the initial email has been sent, the patient or authorized representative will not be sent new emails with each new visit.

As a patient of St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital, you can choose to give an authorized representative access to specific hospital visits. You will be asked this information during the admission process.
