For many people, pain is a daily reality. Whether it's acute pain following trauma or long-term pain due to a chronic condition, too many people simply accept debilitating pain as a fact of life.

Do I need a referral to visit the Pain Management Clinic?

Yes. As policy, the Pain Management Clinic requires a referral from a physician, even if your insurance does not.

How can I make an appointment?

Your primary care physician or a specialist involved in your care must refer to you the clinic. If you have questions about the referral process, please call 781-624-8352.

What happens at my first appointment?

You'll be evaluated by a registered nurse and a nurse practitioner or a physician. They will review your medical history and evaluate your problem in order to get a better understanding of what's causing your pain. Understanding the pain is the first step toward developing a treatment plan.

Our center is conveniently located right off of exit 36 on Rte. 3. We offer ample free parking at this location.

What is South Shore MyChart?

This patient portal is called South Shore MyChart, it is available to all South Shore Health patients .

When will South Shore Health stop using MyChart?

Browser Requirements. Beginning on November 12, 2020, South Shore Health will no longer allow connections to South Shore MyChart from older/legacy web browsers.

What is a pediatric proxy?

Pediatric and Disabled Teen proxy access allows you to securely communicate on behalf of a pediatric patient who is under the age of 13 (or 13 -17 years if the child is disabled). Access is obtained by completing the Pediatric and Disabled Teen Proxy Authorization Form. When the patient turns 13, this will transition to “Adolescent Proxy” access, with the ability to view a limited portion of the patient’s records.
