You can also access the link directly by visiting https://myportal.somc.org. Please note, all patients, even those who have an account in the old system, will need to create a new account with our updated portal.
SOMC participates in the Ohio Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP), which provides free basic medically necessary care to eligible patients. We also provide charity care to patients who are unable to pay through our SOMC Caring Program. SOMC can happily assist you in applying for these programs.
To view the new patient portal online, visit somc.org and click Patient Portal on the homepage. From there, you will be prompted to log in or sign up for your new account. You can also access the link directly by visiting https://myportal.somc.org.
SOMC’s Patient Portal is an application that allows patients to access portions of their electronic health records, including laboratory and medical imaging results securely and conveniently from any computer or device that connects to the internet.
E-mail any comments or concerns about patient care to the Patient Relations department, or contact them at (740) 356-8216. Patient Relations is open from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
If you are interested in a grant from SOMC, please fill out the Grant Request Form. Your grant request will be reviewed utilizing our donation criteria which includes: your program’s area of interest (health & wellness, sports/physical activity, education, arts, etc.), service to a community in which SOMC has a presence and funding availability.
Southern Ohio Medical Center provides a price list containing our charges for room and board, emergency department, operating room, delivery, physical therapy and other procedures. The hospital’s charges are the same for all patients, but a patient’s responsibility may vary depending on payment plans negotiated with individual health insurers.
SOMC has general visiting hours and restricted hours where guests are not allowed. See our visiting hours page for more information on general hours, and hours for the ICU & Heart Care Unit, as well as the Senior Behavioral Medicine Unit.
