How old do you have to be to sign up for SIU?

If you’re not already signed up for an SIU patient portal and are 18 years of age or older, you can either stop by your provider's office or request a new account . If you are a Springfield Clinic or Memorial Physicians Services patient portal user, you can use the same portal account and add SIU Medicine as a connected organization.

Does SIU have a portal for teens?

In the state of Illinois, anyone over the age of 12 has protected minor status, which means they have the right to privacy, even as a dependent. For this reason, SIU does not provide online portal accounts for children between the ages of 12-17.
