Visit Shields Express Link, our secure results portal for quick access to medical records – anywhere, on any device. We manage and provide the medical records for most Shields MRI & PET/CT sites. What is Shields'policy on releasing medical records?

Important information about our medical records policies: Our medical records policy has changed as of September 2, 2019. We now require written consent for release of hard copy medical records, including your report. The fastest way to access a hard copy of your medical records is via Shields Express Link.

What to do if your insurance is not accepted?

If your insurance is not accepted, you will need an out of network authorization from your referring physician. It is your responsibility to contact your insurance carrier regarding your benefits and to ensure that Shields & Shields ( not Wills Eye) is in your network.

Do all Medicaid plans have out of network authorization?

All out of state Medicaid insurances must have an out of network authorization AND a single case agreement.

Can you self pay for Shields?

If you come to Shields & Shields without your authorization or referral you will be considered self pay.
