Illinois law allows a minor to confidentially seek care for services such as: birth control, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV testing, substance abuse, and mental health services. These laws are in place to protect teens that wish to keep some healthcare decisions private. From ages 12-17 years, you will only have access to the billing tab in your child’s Portal.
