When to schedule a consult with a pediatrician?

These are often scheduled at 12:30. Please call the office to schedule a consult.

Why do we do well child exams?

A: Well Child Exams. Regular well child exams are a valuable time for parents and providers to focus on preventive care to help keep your children healthy. Each visit includes a complete physical examination to assess your child’s growth and development, as well as to help identify problems early.

How long is a sick visit?

A: The length of appointments can vary depending on the type of visit. Most sick visits are scheduled for 15 minutes, while Well Child Visits (a.k.a. yearly physicals) can vary typically between 15 and 30 minutes.

Can you see all sick children on the same day?

However, if a patient/parent calls for an appointment late in the day or if a patient walks in without a scheduled appointment, they will be booked in the next available appointment time (which may be the following morning if it is not a medical emergency).

A: Unless your child is sick, children over the age of three (3) are generally seen once per year for their annual check up. The easiest way to remember this is to schedule the visit around his/her birthday.

Can you see your baby at Hartford Hospital?

A: If you deliver at Hartford Hospital, one of us or one of the doctors in our call group will see your baby each morning while they are in the hospital. If your child is admitted to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center we stay in close phone contact with the doctors regarding your child's care. We also try to call you and check in to see how things are going. A post-hospital visit with us will be scheduled after your child is discharged.

What time does Ana work at Rocky Hill Pediatrics?

Ana's regular office hours are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Ana also works diligently to obtain prior authorizations and referral appointments for specialists. She and her husband George have three children and live in the greater Hartford area. Ana is a native of Portugal, is fluent in Portuguese and is willing to translate if needed.

Who is Paula from Rocky Hill Pediatrics?

Paula joined Rocky Hill Pediatrics in 2015 and is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree major and a double minor in Science. She handles billing, coding, insurance verification and patient transfers. Paula works for us Monday through Friday, with Tuesday afternoons off. Paula is a step mother to two beautiful girls and she and her husband were blessed with their first child in 2016. Paula completed the Circle of Security class in the fall of 2017 and highly recommends this program to growing families. Paula is a perfect addition to our front staff and is always willing to go the extra mile.
