How do I Manage my medications in the RMH patient portal?

The RMH Patient Portal provides a great dashboard for managing your health, including how to manage your medications. Located under the “Health Record” section of the portal, the Medications section includes a variety of features. There is a list of all of the medications and dosages included in your RMH healthcare records.

Who can access my hospital information in the EMR?

The EMR is shared by the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital. Your hospital information will be secure in the EMR and only accessed by staff involved with your care and treatment.

What is consent form?

You or your legal representative must complete a consent form (above) to disclose your personal health information. The consent must be directed to the Health records department, must be signed, witnessed, dated and specify which visit and clinical information is being requested and to who the information is being released to.

Is there a fee for releasing medical records?

There is no fee when releasing information to physicians or other health care facilities for purpose of continuity of care. For requests other than for the purpose of continuity of care, including individuals requesting a personal copy of their records see fee schedule above, which is aligned to the guidelines sets by the Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.
