What is PET scan?

What is a PET/CT Scan? Positron Emission Tomography, also called PET imaging or a PET scan, is a type of nuclear medicine imaging. PET imaging is non-invasive, with the exception of an intravenous injection, and painless.

What is computed tomography?

Computed Tomography, also known as CT imaging, uses special x-ray equipment to produce images of the structure of the body. The combination of PET and CT provide physicians with detailed images that pinpoint the anatomic location of abnormal function.

For your convenience, you can preregister online for your visit or for a mammogram. If you preregister, all of your required paperwork will be ready when you arrive to check in at the appropriate registration site.
