A patient will use this portal, if you have been hospitalized at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center or St. Joseph Medical Center. Most patients who attend a Penn State Health Medical Group in Dauphin and Cumberland counties will use this portal. Please call your outpatient clinic to verify.

Penn State Health is committed to the safety of patients, staff, visitors and the general public. We are currently only permitting family/support persons to accompany patients within our facilities. One family/support person is permitted per adult inpatient visit per day. Two parents/guardians are permitted per pediatric inpatient visit per day.

What is a provider list?

Provider List - outlines all providers (MD/DO/CRNP/PA/APCs) who are required to have their patients available on the Provider Portal. If your providers see patients at multiple locations, please add and identify those locations. If your practice utilizes direct secure email addresses, please also provide the provider’s direct secure email address. Direct secure email addresses allow us to also securely send you Patient Health Information (PHI). If you currently do not have direct secure email addresses and are interested, see your certified EHR software vendor. What is access confidentiality agreement?

Access and Confidentiality Agreement - the Access and Confidentiality Agreement defines the responsibilities and obligations of each party in regard to Penn State Health’s clinical information system. To be signed by one of the practice partners with signatory authority.

What is a confirmation agreement?

This acknowledges an understanding that the user will not disclose, share or allow any third party to utilize the username and password assigned to the user. In addition, this also details an agreement between each user and Penn State Health that the user will access the system to only records identified by Penn State Health.

Finding your medical records number (MRN)

To enroll yourself in the "My Health" patient portal, you'll need your medical records number (MRN).

What if I don't have one of these documents?

If none of these documents are available to you, please call our Health Information Management team at 717-531-1697 and ask them to help you determine your Medical Record Number. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
