What is the online patient portal and how does it work?

It’s important for parents and teens to understand patient rights when it comes to accessing information on MyChart. In consideration of state laws granting rights to teen patients, when a pediatric patient turns the age of 12, Providence changes MyChart settings such that the teen patient can access his or her medical records privately.

When should a child be seen for a well checkup?

Routine well child checks then occur at 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 months, 2 year, and 2 1/2 years. After this time, they should be seen yearly beginning at 3 years. It is important to schedule a check-up at these regular intervals even if your child has been in for frequent illness.

Is St John's Providence a specialist?

All patients will be referred to a specialist in the St John Providence Network. This includes physical therapy. If we are unable to provide the care for your child in the St John Providence Network, you will be referred out of network.
