Do vision exams cover medical issues?

Vision exams do not cover for management or treatment of medical problems. If you are being evaluated for medical reasons (diabetes, cataracts, glaucoma suspect, double vision, etc.), you are being provided with medical care.

Does vision insurance cover eyeglasses?

Vision plans may also allow for eyeglasses and contact lens materials. Vision exams do not cover for management or treatment of medical problems.

Can you dilate your eyes during an optomap?

During an Optomap exam, nothing touches your eye. You simply look into the device one eye at a time and our team takes a retinal image of your eyes. Depending on your specific situation, dilation may or may not be necessary.
