Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

Compared to traditional spine surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery is done through one or more small incisions. MIS helps reduce the risk of infection, decrease surgical pain and allows for quicker recovery times.

Microdiscectomy

This procedure is commonly performed to remove a herniated disc which has not improved over time and has failed non-operative care. This procedure may be performed with a less than 1-inch incision and the use of a high powered operative microscope. Some patients may qualify to have this procedure at one of our advanced outpatient surgical centers.
