Your safety is our priority. As a Joint Commission accredited facility, we follow the National Patient Safety Goals as a standard of care. During your stay, staff will be verifying your identity, sanitizing their hands, and confirming your medications, in addition to taking other measures to ensure you are provided with safe care.

Preparing For Hospitalization

Please bring only the minimum essentials necessary. If you are anticipating an overnight stay you may bring personal toilet articles and containers for storing health aids (eye glasses, contact lenses, hearing devices, etc.).

About SmartExam

SmartExam is a secure online telehealth system that facilitates medical information to primary care provider for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses, aches and pains. It is not a replacement for emergency care or urgent treatment, but it is a way to receive fast, convenient care for minor illnesses.

What is an online care function?

Dignity Health is piloting a new telehealth service for three months with BrightMD to offer SmartExam. The SmartExam service enables patients submit symptoms of care concerns through a secure online system. The Dignity Health Medical Group provider evaluates the symptoms and advises treats, prescribes medication as needed.

How does it work?

The Dignity Health Medical Group, SmartExam session begins with an online questionnaire to identify symptoms for care concerns such as: cold, rash, ear ache, or UTI. This information is sent to a Dignity Health Medical Group provider for medical evaluation, diagnosis, advice, and treatment with prescription, as appropriate.

How do I get started?

To get started, set up a free, trial account by calling 602.406.3464. Ask to be enrolled with the Dignity Health SmartExam Program. Our team will email you an invitation with all the needed information.

How is this different than the Dignity Health Patient Portal?

The Dignity Health, My Care Patient Portal is an electronic, medical record, virtual environment for an individual patient. The My Care Patient Portal enables patients to see everything about his/her medical profile such as: appointment history, email communication, the provider notes, test results, and other personal medical information.

What specific conditions can be evaluated through this online care program?

Dignity Health Medical Group can facilitate health care concerns such as ear aches, migraine or headaches, rashes and other skin conditions, sinus pain or pressure, sore throat, cough, cold, allergy, or chest infection, bladder infection or urinary tract infection, and similar type care needs.
