What is the Pelvic Floor?

The pelvic floor is a complex muscle structure suspended between the pelvic bone in the front and the tailbone in the back, forming a sling, or hammock. Assessing pelvic floor muscle function using visual and/ or manual internal and external examination of your pelvic muscles via vagina and/ or rectum. A biofeedback evaluation may be included. These instruments record your muscle activity and help evaluate your pelvic floor muscles.

How long does it take to get physical therapy?

Your first physical therapy appointment will take approximately 60 minutes. Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment, in order to complete the necessary paperwork. To lessen your paperwork at your time of arrival you can print and complete the patient history forms prior to your arrival.
